A former mayor of Santa Monica, California, died after a small airplane crash-landed and flipped the other way up on a seaside within the coastal California neighborhood, authorities stated.
Rex Minter was a passenger within the single-engine Cessna that took off from Santa Monica Airport about 3 p.m. Thursday en path to Malibu. The airplane crashed after simply 9 minutes within the air, CBS Los Angeles reported. The pilot was taken to a hospital.
