Red Hat and Oracle expand operating system collaboration

Open supply options supplier Red Hat and Oracle have entered a multi-stage alliance to supply prospects a larger selection of working programs to run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The strategic collaboration begins with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating on OCI as a supported working system. This is a worldwide partnership which can even be out there to prospects in India.

With this strategic collaboration, licensed configurations of OCI versatile digital machines can now run Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and prospects may also migrate current workloads already operating on Red Hat Enterprise Linux to Red Hat Enterprise Linux on OCI.

“Customers can easily plan to migrate existing workloads which are currently on Red Hat Enterprise Linux to OCI without many changes in the stack. We foresee our Indian customers not only enjoying the benefits of both but also creating standardized processes, reducing overall costs and also attaining better reliability. This collaboration will allow companies to accelerate their digital transformation efforts in a much smoother way,” stated P Saravanan, Vice President, Cloud Engineering, Oracle India.

Ninety p.c of the Fortune 500 presently depend on options from Red Hat and Oracle. These organizations will be capable of standardize their cloud operations with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating on OCI, which allows prospects to achieve a standard platform that goes from their datacenter to the OCI distributed cloud.

Andrew Habgood, vp, Partner Ecosystem, APAC, Red Hat stated that buyer assist can be offered by each enterprises underneath a joint assist settlement.
