Maharashtra forms panel to frame rules for app-based taxi services

The Maharashtra authorities on Wednesday arrange a six-member committee to formulate guidelines for app and web-based taxi service aggregators.

A authorities decision (GR) issued by the state Home division acknowledged that the choice to arrange such a panel was into account, and it’s in accordance with the letter issued by the Union ministry for Road Transport and Highways asking states to implement the Motor Vehicle Aggregators Guidelines 2020.

IAS officer Sudhirkumar Shrivastava (retd) would be the chairman of the committee which should submit its report within the subsequent three months, the order acknowledged.
