It was elevated to Rs 91,000 crore in 2022-23 from Rs 19,437 crore in 2014-15, he mentioned, including funds are being pumped to open Eklavya Vidyalaya within the nation to strengthen training ecosystem for them.
He added that about 10 lakh tribal beneficiaries are related with Van Dhan Vikas Kendras by 55,000 self-help teams.
The goal of those centres is to make sure the provision of major processing and worth addition for forest produce, to supply employment for tribals and enhance their earnings.
The authorities is taking steps “to increase production of their produce, improve packaging, branding, marketing,” he mentioned, including, “we are using platforms like Amazon and Flipkart also for tribal products”.
