AMD India partners with IISc Bengaluru to advance AI & HPC research

California-based semiconductor firm Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) India and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, have arrange a joint initiative to advance High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI analysis within the nation, a press release from the corporate stated.

AMD will work intently with a crew of professors and researchers from IISc to check heterogeneous computing together with the areas of core design, AI coaching, inference, and compilation. Professor Ramaswamy Govindarajan from the pc science and automation division of IISc stated this collaboration will “help find innovative solutions in the areas of optimisation, compilation, and partitioning for heterogeneous computing platforms”.

The collaboration between IISc and AMD India goes again to 2000 when the corporate began its R&D operations in India.
