India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Australian companion Matthew Ebden defeated prime seeded Wesley Koohlof and Neal Skupskito to win the Indian Wells title on Saturday.
The Indo-Australian pair received the match 6-3, 2-6, 10-8, making Bopanna the oldest participant ever to win an ATP Masters 1000 title.
Previous file belonged to Daniel Nestor of Canada, Bopanna’s former doubles companion, who received 2015 Cincinnati Masters on the age of 42.
This win marked Bopanna’s fifth ATP Masters 1000 title, his first since Monte Carlo in 2017.
