Holger Rune and Boris Becker spent a while on the follow courts this week in Monaco, fuelling rumors that the six-time main champion and former coach of Novak Djokovic could grow to be part of Rune’s group.
Rune posted a picture of his group on Instagram, alongside the caption, “Great practice week in Monaco.”
Rune continues to be working with longtime coach Lars Christensen, however could also be on the lookout for somebody to take the teaching position that was just lately vacated by Patrick Mouratoglou.
According to Adam Addicot of UbiTennis.com, Rune’s mom confirmed Becker’s presence (and Christensen’s absence).
“He (Becker) helped Holger this week because Lars (Holger’s coach) was in Denmark,” Rune’s mom and supervisor Aneke reportedly stated in a short textual content message despatched to Ekstra Bladet. The World No.5 has had a troublesome second half of the season, that featured again points and losses in seven of eight matches, starting with a quarterfinal loss to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
