Cowboys coach Todd Payten has shared his disappointment of his aspect’s 22-13 loss to the Titans, admitting a few of their Origin stars felt the results of a busy couple of months.

“We gave away far too many penalties, I think the count was 8-1 at one stage and I can’t argue with the penalties. We didn’t make enough tough decisions in key moments and they just ran harder, tackled harder and built pressure better than we were able to, particularly in the second half.
“Don’t get me wrong the way we started the second half was unacceptable, two tries in quick succession, on of play two of a kick off set, and that’s the part it really hurts.
“That game was there to be won we were 13-10 up at halftime. I thought a couple of our Origin boys looked a little flat and this is the time of year it usually happens, 2-4 weeks after the series is done.
“In saying that, we were outplayed and that’s what disappoints me.”
Payten says he’ll give his aspect a “light week” in readiness for the Broncos conflict.

“We are going to have to get over this quickly and move forward.”
Payten additionally commented on the primary half Valentine Holmes sin binning, claiming it was “really costly.”
“I disagreed with his send off last week but it’s hard to disagree with tonight’s call,” Payten stated.
“It is what it is but it was really costly.”
