“The story came up over the weekend that Michael Cheika was interested in having a crack. St George Illawarra have said that they don’t even want to talk to him.
Cheika coached Lebanon at last year’s Rugby League World Cup and previously worked alongside Trent Robinson at the Sydney Roosters.
As it stands, the Argentina rugby coach is reportedly not being considered as a candidate for the role.
Meanwhile, Craig Bellamy’s looming decision regarding his own coaching future is set to have big implications for the Red V.

“But it looks like it’s a two-horse race between Ben Hornby and Jason Ryles and it looks like by the end of this week we will know what is happening.”
