The mom of Brisbane Broncos star ahead Payne Haas, who police allege brought about a deadly crash on the Gold Coast, is “devastated”, her lawyer has mentioned.
Manslaughter fees towards Uiatu “Joan” Taufua have been heard in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old was the only real survivor of a two-car crash by which three others have been killed at Bonogin on December 30.

Her lawyer Leigh Johnson, greatest identified for representing one of many killers of Anita Cobby, spoke on her consumer’s case, alongside Ms Taufua’s husband and her brother.
“It’s a really tragic event for everybody,” Ms Johnson instructed Nine News. “Ms Taufua is devastated that people have died because of this.”
Ms Taufua has been charged with three counts of manslaughter, amongst a string of different fees referring to the collision.
She stays in police custody in Gold Coast University Hospital with an arm damage sustained within the crash.
