Canberra coach Ricky Stuart laid the boot into his Raiders after a dismal efficiency of their 48-2 thrashing by the hands of the Melbourne Storm.
The end result leaves Canberra’s finals hopes on skinny ice, and Stuart couldn’t cover his frustration in a curt press convention that lasted simply over a minute.
He started: “It wasn’t tough at all. It was just embarrassing. (I’m) absolutely embarrassed.

“I don’t think I can say much more than that to be honest. It was just a really, really embarrassing performance. We went away after 20 minutes. We weren’t prepared to fight for the 80 (minutes) and they were.
“We were fighting for a top four spot today and we delivered up that crap. That’s the embarrassing part about it. I’m lost for words on a lot of it.”
Asked what his message to the gamers was after the defeat, Stuart replied: “Ask them mate, they’re allowed to talk now apparently.”

The match got here simply hours after Canberra nice Jarrod Croker introduced his retirement at season’s finish. But Stuart was in no temper to debate the star’s contribution to the group and the feelings of the day.
“Nah, I’ll talk tomorrow about it. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to you mate. I just ain’t in the mood for talking. Really, it’s just… I’m here because I have to be.”
Stuart then shortly left the room.
