Manchester City have condemned the actions of people liable for inflicting harm to Liverpool’s group bus on their return journey following Saturday’s Premier League conflict on the Etihad.
City, which received the sport 4-1, mentioned an object was thrown in the direction of the bus in a residential space.
Greater Manchester Police mentioned that they had launched an investigation after stories of prison harm and mentioned there have been no accidents, including that the bus continued with its journey.
“Incidents of this kind are totally unacceptable, and we strongly condemn the actions of the individual(s) responsible,” City, the reigning league champions, mentioned in a press release.
“We will fully support Greater Manchester Police’s investigation into this incident in any way we can.”
City additionally mentioned the membership had been disillusioned to have heard “inappropriate chants” from their followers throughout the sport.
“We regret any offence these chants may have caused and will continue to work with supporter groups and officials from both clubs to eradicate hateful chanting from this fixture,” the assertion added.
