Roma’s assistant coach Salvatore Foti was banned till the tip of the month on Friday after being despatched off throughout his staff’s Italian Cup exit by the hands of Serie A’s backside staff Cremonese.

In an announcement Serie A mentioned that Foti had been banned till February 28 for “repeatedly insulting the referee” Michael Fabbri, “threatening a director of the opposing team” after Cremonese scored its first-half opener and “repeated blasphemy” after being red-carded.
Foti was additionally sanctioned for hanging round Fabbri’s dressing room after the match and threatening the 39-year-old official.
Cremonese is but to win a league sport in its first Serie A season since 1996 however will face Fiorentina in April’s two-legged semifinals after beating Roma 2-1 on the Stadio Olimpico.
