The Italian and Ukrainian soccer federations agreed on Tuesday to a partnership to coach younger Ukrainian footballers and coaches in Italy.
The Italian federation (FIGC) stated in a press release that the partnership aimed to assist with coaching which has been hampered by Ukraine’s ongoing battle with Russia.
“The partnership will guarantee the future of Ukrainian football,” stated FIGC president Gabriele Gravina.
The Ukrainian federation (UAF), headed by former AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko, will ship gamers and coaches to coaching centres in Italy, together with the central Coverciano centre in Florence.

“I’ve always felt like Italy was my second home and I have many unforgettable memories,” stated Shevchenko.
