Colombian striker Jhon Duran has signed for Aston Villa from MLS aspect Chicago Fire in a deal value £18 million. The 19-year-old has been monitored by the Premier League aspect for over a 12 months, with the striker scoring eight targets in 28 video games for his former membership.
Unai Emery continues to rebuild his squad, and the arrival of Duran is seen as a substitute for Danny Ings, who has since left to hitch West Ham for £15 million.
Unai Emery already signed Alex Moreno from Real Betis as backup for first alternative left-back Lucas Digne, and Villa may not but be achieved within the switch market, because the membership look to signal different targets.
On finishing the transfer, Duran advised the media: “I have all the desire in the world. Lots of desire to work hard, give everything to the team and win. I’m hoping I can play soon.
“I’m a player that plays with a lot of passion who is dedicated to the team and a player that really wants to win always.
“I know it’s the most important league in the world. It’s the best league in the world, and I have all the desire in the world to get on the pitch and score that first goal.”
