NEW DELHI: Red-ball specialist batsman Kraigg Brathwaite will retain his position because the chief of the group as Cricket West Indies (CWI) unveiled an 18-member squad for the preparatory camp forward of the forthcoming two-match Test sequence towards India.
The camp is about to start on the CCG in Antigua on Friday, and subsequently, the group will journey to Dominica on July 9 for additional preparations.
The opening Test match is slated to happen on July 12 in Dominica, with the second Test scheduled from July 20 at Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval.
Following the Test sequence, a three-match ODI sequence will provoke on July 27, adopted by a five-match T20I sequence, set to start on August 3.
“CWI Men’s Selection Panel today named the 18-member squad for the preparation camp ahead of the start of the two-match Test series against India in the Caribbean,” Cricket West Indies (CWI) stated on their twitter deal with.
With West Indies at the moment taking part in within the ICC World Cup qualifiers, some senior members haven’t been named within the squad for the camp.
Among the absentees are Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph and Kyle Mayers, whereas Kavem Hodge, Alick Athanaze and Jair McAllister are the brand new faces.
The West Indies group might be in Zimbabwe till July 9.
