Addressing a set of home gamers from each males’s and girls’s groups that included the likes of Yash Dhull, Khaleel Ahmed, Ganguly gave an inspiring speech declaring the down facet of the forgettable 2023 season.
“It was a very very poor season, by any standards and I think we did not do well enough. So it’s important for us that we learn from that and come back as a better team. There is no harm in losing but the problem will be when we don’t improve and get better,” mentioned Ganguly.
“We have 6 months. We will give you everything, every support to come back as a better team next year. It’s not that we did everything right. We did wrong things, made mistakes, we lost, we got beaten. The only thing which can take you to the next level is working hard. Use all the time at training only to get better. We will use this time to get better,” Ganguly added.
The former India captain additionally lauded Capitals’ ladies’s staff for making it to the ultimate of the inaugural version of the Women’s Premier League.
The Capitals males’s staff that performed with out their common skipper Rishabh Pant, completed a lowly ninth in IPL 2023.
