NEW DELHI: New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner pulled off an impressive one-handed stunner to eliminate England opener Jonny Bairstow (6) within the second ODI in Southampton on Sunday.
The terrific Santner catch occurred within the third over of the England innings when opener Jonny Bairstow was seeking to flick a Trent Boult supply to mid-wicket. As Bairstow performed the shot early, the ball acquired the forefront of his bat and flew in the direction of extra-cover.
With the ball flying over his head, an alert Santner, timed his bounce to perfection and pulled off a spectacular catch out of skinny air together with his left hand. He then landed safely on the bottom to wrap up the terrific seize.
