Third edition of Freyer Cup T20 tournament for women to be held from June 26

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) can be internet hosting the Freyer Cup T20 League event 2023-2024 for ladies right here from June 26.

The event, that includes eight groups, can be performed on a league foundation with the highest two preventing it out for the trophy, TNCA officers advised reporters right here on Thursday.

This is the third version of the event, TNCA treasurer T J Srinivasraj stated, including that the ultimate could be performed on June 29.

Apart from the T20 event, the TNCA may also be organising a one-dayer event which commences on July 1.

The tournaments present additional alternatives for budding younger girls cricketers and a stage to showcase their expertise, the TNCA official stated.

This 12 months, TNCA shaped a Talent Scout Wing, which incorporates eminent former First-Class cricketers and coaches, each women and men, to unearth hidden expertise amongst girls, particularly within the districts. The eight collaborating groups are: Green Invaders, Silver Strikers, Pink Warriors, Blue Avengers, Yellow Challengers, Red Rangers, Orange Dragons and Purple Blazers.
