NEW DELHI: The second highest run-scorer for India within the not too long ago concluded Women’s T20 World Cup, Richa Ghosh on Friday jumped 21 locations to the twenty second spot within the newest ICC Women’s T20I batters rankings.
The 19-year-old wicketkeeper-batter aggregated 136 runs at a mean of 68 within the T20 World Cup in South Africa and was the lone Indian in ICC’s Most Valuable Team of the event.
Richa was second behind Smriti Mandhana (151 runs) when it comes to runs for India on the cricketing extravaganza.
The teenager from Siliguri performed three unbeaten knocks — 31 (vs Pakistan), 44 (vs West Indies) and 47 not out (vs England) within the event.
The greatest gainer within the rankings have been Sri Lanka’s Vishmi Gunaratne and England spinner Charlie Dean.
Gunaratne rose 95 locations to leap to 169th. The 17-year-old entered the Women’s T20 World Cup having performed solely 9 T20Is for Sri Lanka, however impressed within the group stage towards each of the eventual finalists.
