RANCHI: Ishan Kishan continued his imperious run as he smashed a second century in as many matches to script Jharkhand’s combat again towards Kerala of their Ranji Trophy Group C match on Thursday.
Less than per week after he blazed away to the quickest ODI double century towards Bangladesh, Kishan was an image of grit and willpower in a 195-ball 132 (9×4) as he led Jharkhand’s restoration from being 114/4 to 340 all out.
Giving him assist was Saurabh Tiwary who missed out on a well-deserved century by simply three runs after being cleaned up by Jalaj Saxena.
The duo placed on 202 runs for the fifth wicket to revive Jharkhand after Basil Thampi (3/55) and Vaisakh Chandran (2/81) rocked the top-order to have them reeling at 56/3.
For Kerala, Jalaj Saxena grabbed a splendid 5/75. At shut, Kerala have been 60/1 with an total lead of 195 runs because the match hung in steadiness on the JSCA International Stadium right here.
