The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has restored the pension of former Test tempo bowler Sarfaraz Nawaz, who had all his funds suspended since January 2017 after making unsubstantiated defamatory statements towards former Chairman, Najam Sethi.
The ex gratia funds had been discontinued on account of disciplinary proceedings initiated towards Nawaz by the earlier set-ups of the PCB over his violation of the Code of Conduct underneath the Players’ Welfare Policy.

Najam Sethi as Chairman of the board filed a libel swimsuit towards Nawaz for making unsubstantiated allegations towards him. Nawaz had a number of months again appealed to the board to finish the matter.
