New Zealand pacer Doug Bracewell will substitute injured Matt Henry within the ODI squads for India and Pakistan.
Henry had suffered an belly pressure on the ultimate day of the second Test in Karachi.
The 31-year-old quick bowler would require two to 4 weeks of relaxation and rehabilitation.
Bracewell, with 68 worldwide caps, had featured within the ODI sequence at residence in opposition to the Netherlands final April. The 32-year-old has been in good type with bat and ball in home cricket. He will attain Pakistan on Wednesday.
Pace bowler Jacob Duffy has been named as a substitute for Tim Southee for the India tour.
The squad will journey to India after its three-match ODI sequence concludes in Pakistan on January 13.
The Black Caps start their white-ball tour of India with the primary ODI in Hyderabad on January 18, adopted by matches in Raipur and Indore.
New Zealand coach Gary Stead stated Bracewell was a like-for-like substitute for Henry within the ODI squad.
“Doug is a quality bowler with a lot of experience, and we feel his skills best compliment the bowling mix we already have in the squads for Pakistan and India,” Stead informed New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Sunday.
“He has experience across all three formats at international level, has experience in the subcontinent, and has already shown his range of skills this season.” On Henry, who picked up the harm on the ultimate day of a drawn Test in Karachi, Stead stated, “Matt has been one of the leaders of our ODI attack for a number of years, and I know he’s disappointed to be missing out because of injury.”
