MUMBAI: The IPL 2022 ultimate on May 29 between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has acquired the Guinness world file for the biggest attendance at a T20 match, BCCI secretary Jay Shah tweeted on Sunday.
“Extremely delighted & proud to receive the Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a T20 match when 101,566 people witnessed the epic @IPL final at @GCAMotera’s magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium on 29 May 2022. A big thanks to our fans for making this possible! @BCCI,” Shah wrote on Twitter.

Playing within the IPL for the primary time, the newly-launched Gujarat Titans had received their maiden IPL title that day, beating the Royals by seven wickets within the summit conflict.
The gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium is prone to host a day/night time Test match between India and Australia in February-March.
