United States participant Kyle Phillip has been suspended from bowling in worldwide cricket with rapid impact resulting from “an illegal bowling action”, ICC stated in a launch.
The 26-year-old was reported by the match officers following his aspect’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier match in opposition to West Indies on June 18, 2023.
The Event Panel reviewed match footage of Phillip’s bowling motion and concluded that he employs an unlawful bowling motion and as such, in accordance with Article 6.7 of the laws, he’s suspended from bowling in worldwide cricket.
Phillip’s suspension shall stay in place till he submits to a reassessment of his bowling motion which concludes that his bowling motion is authorized.
