Pat Cummins, the Australia Test captain and tempo spearhead of the workforce, returns residence briefly from India on account of private causes, reported The Daily Telegraph.
Australia is at the moment trailing 0-2 within the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy towards India.
According to the media report, Cummins, 29, will journey to his hometown in Sydney and keep there for a few days earlier than returning to India to guide Australia within the third Test, to be held in Indore from March 1.
Australia, on Sunday, suffered a six-wicket defeat to India to concede an opportunity to win again the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from India, who has received the final three Test sequence towards the Aussies and is now only a win away from retaining the trophy for 4 consecutive sequence.
Cummins has taken three wickets in two matches at a median of 39.67 within the ongoing sequence.
Last week, Australian leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson returned residence for the start of his first little one. He was changed by Matthew Kuhenmann within the squad.
