Due to extra in depth worldwide duties, the arrival of the 35-year-old Rahane, who was supposed to hitch the county membership in June, was delayed. After the IPL, he instantly took a flight to England for the World Test Championship last earlier than departing for India’s Test journey of the West Indies this month.
Rahane has now said a want to take a break from cricket throughout August and September, thus he is not going to play for Leicestershire as scheduled, based on the membership. Those involvements had been beforehand not taken into consideration in his itinerary.

Australian Peter Handscomb will exchange Rahane. Handscomb has prolonged his stick with the Foxes to function in subsequent month’s Metro Bank One Day Cup.
“Thankfully, we had planned for a situation like this, and we are delighted Peter is staying on with the team. He brings many qualities alongside his batting and wicketkeeping, including strong leadership, which is a massive help to Lewis (Hill) and the rest of the guys in our changing room,” Henderson stated.
