LAST month, I spent just a few days in Albania to attend a conservation milestone, the declaration of Europe’s first Wild River National Park. The river Vjosa, which rises in Greece and flows by means of Albania into the Adriatic, is Europe’s final nice free-flowing river, that means it’s uninhibited by dams or synthetic banks from supply to sea.
