More legs equals extra stability on tough terrain

The extra legs a robotic has the higher it appears to be at travelling over tough terrain.
Baxi Chong on the Georgia Institute of Technology and his colleagues constructed a spread of multi-legged robots from 3D-printed physique segments. Each phase had two legs and several other motors. The robots had between six and 16 legs in complete.
