You could or could not know what “singing in cursive” means.
It’s a colloquial saying that originated on social media, and it describes this annoying type/development of singing that immediately’s singers use. Liz Gillies describes it finest with this video:
In the vid, the contestant began to sing Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie,” and instantly, Katy Perry stopped her and mentioned, “Slow down.”
