So, after they break up again in July 2022, I really hoped it was only one massive, tasteless joke.
But six months later, Chelsea is reflecting on the almost one-year-long relationship with an unusually optimistic outlook and Eat Pray Love vitality.
Chelsea revealed to Entertainment Tonight that her relationship with Jo truly modified her perspective on love, and I’m taking notes.
“I had kind of lost my faith in men,” she confessed.
“And then, I got into a relationship, and that faith was renewed, and it made me open-minded and open-hearted, and I remain that way.”
“I liked the togetherness, and I liked the constant camaraderie and having a buddy, and I just thought, ‘Oh yeah, you can find somebody that you have a lot in common with, and that can work as well,” she advocated.
“It’s not the end all be all, but it can be beautiful as long as you are really delivering up your best self in that relationship,” Chelsea added. “You don’t want to ever have to be anybody that you’re not…and everybody has the ability to make other people be better and be stronger.”
“I still believe in love. And I believe, now more than ever before, that my person is coming,” she mentioned.
I’m absorbing these love tidbits, however I’ve to acknowledge this was a slight change from the grim outlook on her look throughout Brooke Shields’s Now What? podcast.
While discussing her breakup with Jo, she mentioned, “Walking away from him was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do,” however there have been behaviors she wasn’t keen to “abandon” for the sake of the connection.
“I don’t think we can have a friendship until there’s some accountability and some responsibility taken.”
I like an excellent hindsight journey. Today, Chelsea stays eager for the longer term, and her development is inspiring.
Good luck on good love, Chelsea!
