After a damning run-in with environmental activist Greta Thunberg, disgraced influencer Andrew Tate has acquired one other pushback — this time from actor Karishma Sharma. Responding to a photograph of hers with Tate and a video circulating on social media the place he’s seen speaking about his “hook up incident” with the Ujda Chaman (2019) actor — Sharma has squarely slammed Tate’s claims.
“He is lying,” says Sharma, clarifying, “We never hooked up. I just wanted to come out and share my side, so that people know that he is a scumbag spreading lies and just wants attention. I was really happy when he was arrested.”
Sharma recollects assembly Tate and his brother Tristan in round 2014. “When you are from Mumbai, you meet a lot of people as you often go to parties. I happened to meet him at a party at a hotel in Mumbai. When you see a good looking person, you talk to that person, and I got along with him. We had a normal conversation. He told me he has an Indian mother, and we had a few shots,” Sharma shares. The Super 30 (2019) actor additional reveals that when Tate bought to know that she is an actor he insisted on clicking an image, the one which’s going viral. “That’s all that happened. The video in competition bought tongues wagging, main Sharma’s associates to start out questioning her. “It’s not a thing of shame if you ever hooked up with someone. I would be more than okay to (admit). After 6 years, out of nowhere he posted this. It gave me a lot of anxiety as this (whatever Tate claims) never happened. I don’t know why people are looking at me with that eye of judgement. I have so many messages just saying ‘Oh Andrew Tate’, and I have nothing to do with this guy. Even my friends questioned me and that hurt more. There are people who are very snarky about it, like “Oh you are dating Andrew Tate,’ and it kind of hurts. It pinches you when your own people ask you. My heart just sank when my friend sent me that video,” the 29-year-old opens up.
Sharma’s accomplice, actor Vivaan Shah has been “supportive” of her amidst all of this. “He said don’t even care about him,” she reveals.
While Sharma has bought no probability to confront Tate, she believes he simply “wanted attention.” “He wanted me to retaliate. But I’m not in a state to. I have been dealing with anxiety lately. I don’t like to get myself into controversies. He is brainwashing younger men to dislike women. It is bothering me and there are days when I am in tears. I had to talk about it. People say it is okay, but it is not. Once you let it out, you know that you have done your job, then you can take a step back,” she ends.
