Conservative social media firm Parler stated Thursday its deal to be purchased by Ye has been known as off.
The rapper, previously generally known as Kanye West, agreed to purchase the app in October for an undisclosed quantity. Ye has made repeated and public antisemitic feedback in current months, and several other business partnerships involving the musician have been terminated.
“The company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler,” the app’s father or mother firm stated in an announcement to CNBC. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November. Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”
