Crows could make selections in accordance with the chance of getting a reward – a cognitive feat identified to mathematicians as statistical inference, and barely discovered exterior of primates.
“‘Bird brain’ is often used as an insult, but that’s not really the case,” says Melissa Johnston on the University of Tubingen in Germany.
