Raheem Sterling will depart the England World Cup squad and is about to return to London after armed intruders broke into his residence, together with his household current inside, together with three younger youngsters, the BBC reported.
The news was confirmed by England head coach Gareth Southgate after his staff’s 3-0 Round of 16 win in opposition to Senegal on Monday.
“Sometimes football isn’t the most important thing and family should come first,” stated Southgate.
“We want to give him that space and we will see over the next few days how that develops,” Southgate added.
Sterling’s teammate Declan Rica stated after the match, “I saw him at breakfast this morning then the manager said he had the difficulties at home so we’ve all sent him a message.”
The incident reportedly befell on Saturday evening.
Sterling is absolutely dedicated to England’s World Cup bid and can return to Qatar so long as he can.
This just isn’t the primary time Sterling’s home has been focused. In November 2018, three burglars tried a break-in at Sterling’s then-home in Cheshire and had been jailed after the incident.
