CHICAGO (WLS) — A household is mourning the lack of a Chicago Public Schools trainer after he was shot and killed whereas driving on Chicago’s Far South Side.
Quentine Carradine was the soul of his household.
“My baby has been working since he was 16 years old. He held down two jobs to make sure he take care of his family so they never want for nothing,” mentioned Quentine’s mother, Carmel Carradine.
His youngsters mentioned his job with Chicago Public Schools was a lot extra than simply work.

“He was a teacher. He looked after the kids. He was a coach, somebody that they looked up to. A mentor,” mentioned Shakiyla Carradine, Quentine’s daughter.
CPS mentioned Quentine was an “integral part” of New Sullivan Elementary via his work in Special Education and as a basketball coach.
After college on Monday, Chicago police mentioned Carradine was gunned down crossing 87th Street and King Drive, only a few blocks from his mom’s residence. Her grief is excruciating.
“Whoever did this to him is wrong, they shouldn’t have did him like — killed him like he was a dog in the street. He was a very good person,” his mom mentioned.
Investigators on Chicago’s Far South Side do not know if Quentine was caught within the crossfire of a taking pictures. They nonetheless have few particulars about what occurred or who was concerned. His household is livid.
“These hooligans out here killing people, taking lives for no reason,” mentioned Quentine’s sister. “We want the person who did this to my brother, shattered our family.”
