Snap introduced Monday it is rolling out an OpenAI-powered chatbot named My AI to its Snapchat+ subscribers.
Snapchat+ was introduced in June and prices $3.99 per thirty days.
According to The Verge, the chatbot is predicated on OpenAI ChatGPT expertise, which additionally underpins Microsoft‘s Bing AI. It can suggest reward concepts, weekend plans, or recipes, Snap stated in a press launch. Users can customise the identify and chat background of the “experimental feature.”
In a nod to well-documented incidents with Bing’s OpenAI-based chatbot, Snap warned in a press launch that its My AI chatbot “can be tricked into saying just about anything.”

Snap founder and CEO Evan Spiegel mentioned the transformative potential of AI expertise on the corporate’s fourth-quarter earnings name. Executives from different firms like Nvidia and Meta have made related pronouncements throughout current earnings calls.
