From our mid-20s onwards, our pores and skin progressively loses its elasticity and plumpness, resulting in wrinkles and sagging. Why this happens isn’t totally understood. However, new analysis means that the microorganisms that reside on our faces could also be concerned.
A protein known as collagen acts as a scaffold for our pores and skin, giving youthful pores and skin a clean look, however the amount and high quality of our collagen manufacturing declines with age.
