Gilbert Klier Junior has been hit with a one-year ban from the professional circuit for a doping violation.
The Brazilian baseliner, who reached a career-high ATP rating of 354, was examined at an ATP Challenger occasion in Mexico City in April 2022.

Subsequent evaluation of the pattern discovered the presence of SARM S-22. SARM S-22 is an anabolic agent banned always beneath Section S1.2 (Other Anabolic Agents) of the 2022 WADA Prohibited List. Klier Junior was provisionally suspended on June 9, 2022, the International Tennis Integrity Agency introduced.
The ITIA mentioned it “accepted that the player had not deliberately taken the substance and that its presence was as a result of a contaminated supplement. However, following other high profile cases involving Brazilian tennis players and other sports people, the ITIA considered that the player did bear some responsibility for the finding.”
In December 2022, Klier Junior accepted a ban of 12 months, again dated to the beginning of the his provisional suspension on June 9, 2022 and ending on June 8, 2023. During this era, he’s prohibited from enjoying in or attending any tennis occasion licensed or sanctioned by the governing our bodies of tennis.
