MUMBAI: Mumbai Police have registered an FIR towards former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli for allegedly assaulting and abusing his spouse in an inebriated state at his residence in suburban Bandra, an official stated on Sunday.
No arrest has been made up to now in reference to the alleged incident which occurred on Friday, he stated.
Kambli’s spouse Andrea in her police criticism alleged that he threw the deal with of a cooking pan at her as a consequence of which she suffered a head harm, the official from Bandra police station stated.
The incident occurred between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Friday when Kambli reached his flat allegedly drunk and began abusing his spouse, he stated.
Their 12 year-old son, who was current at the moment, intervened within the combat, however Kambli went into the kitchen, introduced the deal with of a damaged frying pan and allegedly threw it on his spouse as a consequence of which she obtained injured, the official stated quoting the criticism.

Based on her criticism, the Bandra police on Friday registered the FIR towards Kambli below Indian Penal Code Sections 324 (voluntarily inflicting harm by harmful weapons) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of peace), the official stated.
An investigation is on into the case, he added.
