DeLand, Fla. — A person already imprisoned in Florida for one more killing pleaded responsible Tuesday to the long-unsolved 1991 slaying of a girl he met at a bar.
Michael Townson, 53, was sentenced by a choose to life in jail with the potential of parole after 25 years, state prosecutors stated in a news launch.
Townson admitted placing and fatally choking Linda Lois Little after assembly her at a Daytona Beach nightspot in October 1991. Little’s physique was by no means discovered.
Prosecutors stated Townson instructed them he drove north on Interstate 95 and left Little’s physique close to a dumpster in rural Camden County, Georgia. Checks of unidentified our bodies in that county turned up no match for Little.
Townson was already serving a life sentence for beating Sherri Carmanto to demise with a metal pipe in 2007 at her residence in Titusville, Florida.
“This defendant is a confessed serial killer. It is gratifying to solve a cold case such as this,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza stated within the news launch.
