The India skippper lauded his batting unit, particularly Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant for his or her contributions within the win.
“We batted well in the first innings as well. It was a job well done by Shreyas and Puji (Pujara), even Pant’s counter-attack. Really happy for them (Gill and Pujara), they utilised the opportunity.
Rahul also lavished praise on the bowling unit.
“Very happy with the best way we bowled. The pitch wasn’t actually aiding the bowlers, however they discovered one thing. “It was a very good wicket to bat on however we did not bat nicely (within the first innings). Playing after 5-6 months, it wasn’t ultimate however there needs to be no excuses,” Shakib said.
“Lot of credit score to India the best way they bowled. They bowled in partnerships and created stress. We should play good cricket for all 5 days. We should play 4 good innings to have the ability to get a consequence particularly towards India.”
Shakib was effusive in his praise for young Zakir Hasan.

“To be very trustworthy I’m proud of the efficiency, each with bat and ball. First innings the pitch was faster than the second innings. There was some tempo within the first innings, however the second innings was very difficult,” he said.
“It was slower. so I used to be making an attempt to work on my rhythm and bowl faster. Probably extra revs on the ball makes it difficult for the batters and it’s tough to step down and drive as nicely (why wrist spinners have that additional edge).
“I just worked on my rhythm, tried to be more aggressive and it’s helped me a lot. The action is the same, just trying to be aggressive in the rhythm (about working on his bowling),” Kuldeep added.
The second Test of the two-match sequence will begin in Mirpur on December 22.
