MUMBAI: In an encouraging piece of news for Team India, ‘keeper-bat KL Rahul, who was suffering from a minor groin injury, on Monday cleared his fitness test and will join the side for the rest of the Asia Cup campaign.
“Rahul cleared his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (in Bangalore) today. He’ll be part of the group on Tuesday,” a supply within the BCCI confirmed to TOI.
This can even be a giant aid to India’s selectors, who will decide the Indian group for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, on Tuesday. With BCCI secretary Jay Shah and chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Sri Lanka, the group might be picked through videoconferencing.
