“That will be hard as (to choose a nation). I don’t want to upset either of my parents. I hope they will be happy with whatever decision I make.
“I wouldn’t mind playing for Tonga because my name is Tongan. It’s my dad’s last name and I was named after my dad’s older brother. To represent Tonga and the last name would be massive.”
Tonga head coach Kristian Woolf has confirmed Finefeuiaki will likely be within the dialog in relation to selecting the Mate Ma’a squad for post-season Tests.
If the backrower does determine to signify his mum or dad’s heritage he’ll stay eligible to play for Queensland.
However, if he decides to play for his delivery nation, New Zealand, he’ll signify a ‘tier one’ nation and be unable to characteristic in Origin.
But for now, after graduating from rugby league nursery, Ipswich State High, he’ll give attention to his first beginning look towards the Titans on Sunday.
