The remarkably uncommon discovery of a fossilised pregnant floor sloth and its fetus has been reported.
Cástor Cartelle on the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in Brazil had been exploring an intensive Brazilian cave for two hours when he found the fossil sloth, from the species Nothrotherium maquinense.
