Shares of Shutterstock popped 10% Tuesday after the corporate introduced an expanded, six-year partnership with ChatGPT-maker OpenAI.
Shutterstock, which provides inventory photos, movies and music, mentioned in a launch that it’s going to present OpenAI with “high-quality” coaching knowledge by granting entry to its video, picture and music libraries. Shutterstock will proceed to leverage OpenAI’s text-to-image era and permit prospects to make use of “synthetic editing capabilities” to change any picture within the Shutterstock library.
The corporations may even work to carry generative AI to cell customers through Shutterstock’s Giphy GIF database. Shutterstock agreed to amass Giphy from Meta in May.
Shutterstock started its strategic partnership with OpenAI in 2021. In October 2022, the corporate introduced it will start to carry OpenAI’s picture era capabilities to its prospects.
